DAESI
The agri-input dealers are the prime source of farm information and they are the first contact point of majority of farmers. In this context the National Institute of Agriculture Extension Management (MANAGE) Hyderabad, has designed one year diploma course titled Diploma in Agriculture Extension Service for Input Dealers (DAESI), which imparts training to input dealers to transform them as para extension professionals functioning as a one-stop information center at the village level for the farmers. The input dealers are selected by the respective PD, ATMAs and the training of the dealers are organized at nodal training institute of respective districts. The 52 week course covers agricultural and allied subjects, location-specific crop production technologies, pest management, laws governing regulation of agricultural inputs, ethical business practices including practical sessions.
